What personal data Wrap collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the GDPR.
We collect: account details (name, email); identity verification data required for KYC/AML (such as government ID and proof of address); device and usage data; and transaction records generated when you use the app.
Waitlist: if you join from the website, we collect your email address (and, optionally, your name) to notify you at launch and send you updates about Wrap. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send or by writing to contact@wrap-investing.com, which removes your address from the list.
We process personal data on the bases of performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and, where required, your consent.
We share data with vetted service providers who help us operate (for example identity verification, infrastructure and analytics), and with our data partner bigdata.com for market intelligence features. We require appropriate safeguards and do not sell your personal data.
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal record-keeping requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Wrap is self-custodial: your keys never leave your device. We apply technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we do hold, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
